ICC Permits Betting Logos Promotion in Bilateral Series

The ICC has allowed betting companies to promote themselves during any bilateral ODI and Test match. The cricket governing body has lifted the ban on using their logos.

As per the reports during ICC events like the World Cup and Champions trophy etc the restriction on utilizing betting logos will stay as per the previous rule.

The decision has come when the England and Wales Cricket Board is investigating their coach, Brendon McCullum. He was found promoting a betting organization called 22Bet India. Brendon McCullum is the former captain of New Zealand and joined 22Bet India earlier this year as a brand ambassador. He worked on some promotional projects for the site.

As per the reports, representatives of the ECB stated that they are conducting an inquiry into the matter. They are in close contact with the coach regarding the matter. The ECB has its own betting rules and will always try to make sure they are followed. They will take tough action against people who will try to break them. The inquiry committee has asked the coach to elaborate on the terms of his agreement with the online betting platform.

There has been a flood of betting organizations in Pakistan cricket also. A number of different establishments in the Pakistan Super League are being supported through these organizations.

State Bank of Pakistan asked the PCB to create a code of ethics for PSL franchises as they supported these sites in PSL 8. It should require them to choose sponsors in accordance with the local laws of Pakistan.

PCB replied to as it is strongly opposed to promoting betting. Each sponsor company that it associates with signs a clause that bans these types of sites.

Prediction 1st ODI: New Zealand Tour to Pakistan 2023

After the T20 series, the time has come for the 5-match ODI series between Pakistan and New Zealand. 1st and 2nd ODI will be played on April 27 at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, Rawalpindi. National Stadium, Karachi, will host the rest of the three matches. The match will begin at 3:3 in the evening.

The T20 series was exceptionally refreshing. Pakistan won the first two matches of the series. For the 3rd time, New Zealand won the T20. The fourth match ended in a draw due to rain. In the last game, New Zealand won to level the series at 2-2.

In this ODI series, Pakistan is led by Babar Azam, while New Zealand is led by Tom Latham. It is to be reminded that Kane Williamson got injured while playing for IPL this month. He might miss this World Cup as well due to his surgery.

Now in this series, both teams will be focused on winning the series and getting ready for the ODI World Cup. The mega event will take place later this year in October.

Expected Performers

From Pakistan, Babar Azam and Rizwan both are in great form. They can make a big difference in the batting. Meanwhile, Shaheen and Haris beat the opponent’s batters.

Finn Allen and Chapman (if played) from New Zealand) will beat the bowlers, and Matt Henry will do his part with the ball.

1st ODI Pitch Report: Pak vs. NZ

There have been few matches played at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. The pitch has supported both the toss winner and loser equally, with 12 out of 24 batting first and the same later.

Also, the pitch provides an equal chance for both bowlers and batters to display their skills. We have seen this in T20 matches as well. So toss winning will only matter for the teams if the last time reading of the pitch by the captain of both teams.

Expected Squads PAK vs. NZ 1st ODI

Pakistan: Mohammad Rizwan, Fakhar Zaman, Imam-ul-Haq, Babar Azam, Imad Wasim, Shadab Khan, Mohammad Nawaz, Faheem Ashraf, Hasan Ali, Shaheen Afridi, Haris Rauf

New Zealand: Tom Latham, Finn Allen, Rachin Ravindra, Will Young, Henry Nicholls, Daryl, Colin, Cole McConchie, Ajaz Patel, Henry, Hamish Bennett

Prediction 1st ODI: New Zealand Tour to Pakistan 2023

Considering the team and player-to-player analysis, pitch report, history, and statistics of both teams, it is predicted that Pakistan will win the 1st ODI with a ratio of 59:41.

Match Details: New Zealand tour to Pakistan, 2023
